All change, but still the same
We wish to announce the departure from the charity of founder and CEO, Anna Hartland and her husband Steve. As many of you will know, Anna began the project from a garage, and developed it into the highly successful charity that it is today. Over the years, Loaves n Fishes has helped thousands of individuals and families through donations of household items, practical support, spiritual and pastoral guidance, and love and friendship. They will be missed by many who have been connected to the project over the years, and we pray that God will bless them and their future plans.
…but still the same.
We are also announcing the arrival of our new Project Manager, Mark Price. Mark has a background in business, education leadership and church support, and brings a wealth of experience gleaned from these very different sectors.
‘I am delighted to be given the opportunity to be a part of the incredible work that goes on here at Loaves n Fishes. Although I had been aware of the project, nothing could have prepared me for the scale and scope of what goes on here. I have been amazed at the number of people that are helped and supported, and for the compassion and love that is shown every day. I would like to pay tribute to the work that Anna and Steve started all those years ago, and although change inevitably comes, I can promise that the original aims of the charity will continue. Christ’s compassion in action will always be at the core of everything we do.’
